Gambols
Formal events, which
include lavish dinners, are called "Gambols" (lambs play, frolic or 'gambol').
Some may honor (or Lambaste) a member or famous
personality, such as Eddie
Bracken, John Wayne and Dorothy Loudon. Some Gambols have marked holidays (Christmas, New Year's Eve),
or special events, including the repeal of Prohibition. Gambols may be held in the Grand
Salon, the Ballroom or nearby hotels or restaurants.
